Want To Change The World... Join Our Team!

What Makes Us Special?

We are a small team of driven individuals, that love what we do and take pride in delivering the best product and service possible. We wear jeans and t-shirts to work, enjoy a relaxed work environment with flexible hours and unlimited vacation time.

We have an "anti-corporation" ethos. If you prefer a sea of cubes in a drab corporate office park then you are looking in the wrong place with us. We are a team of funny, smart, dapper individuals (ok, maybe the last one is a stretch) that love to think big and execute on those ideas. Every day, we want you to tell us what you are going to do to set the world on fire with your ideas. You will be treated like a valued individual. You will be heard. You will be truly listened to. We will encourage you to work from home if you want and to travel the world when you get the urge. Office cubicle dwellers need not apply. We are DOERS - not watchers. We drive change. We live our lives like today is a gift and we are making tomorrow even better.

Want to be a member of this remarkable team? Please see our current opportunities below.

About You

You are an independant worker who can take a thought or idea and deliver a product that exceeds expectations, on-time and under budget. You love solving tough problems, doing what others say cannot be done, and have an eye for perfection that saw that misspelled word in the previous sentence. You have a sense of humor, speak your mind, and want to be part of something special

Qualifications

The right candidate must be able to learn independently, understands how to find answers when they need help, and knows how to get down and dirty in code to find the root of problems. The following technologies, all used in some capacity in our product, should fall into one of two categories for you: ones that you know today and are comfortable working with and those that you will start learning today and be comfortable with soon. You don't need any existing knowledge of or experience in the transportation industry, but let us know if either apply.

About You

Getting your ducks in a row is built into your genes. You just love to see all your check boxes completed, and the sound of efficiency permeating the air. You are an independant worker who cares about the overall customer experience and satisfaction. You have a detailed eye for perfection that saw that misspelled word in the previous sentence. You like to solve operational problems and you don't rest until everything is in "its place". As this position reports directly to the COO, you are collaborative by nature and can listen to instructions yet you can put your own flair on the end solution. You like to solve problems for yourself and others. However, you are willing to also ask for help in order to resolve the issue at hand when necessary. You like to help others solve operational issues no matter how long it takes. You are organized and like "to-do" lists in order that nothing gets missed (the devil is in the details). As you will work with a team of other humans, you are not just a communicator, you are an over-communicator. You love procedures, writing them down, communicating them, and making sure everyone abides by them - lest they feel the wrath of your sword (metaphorically speaking, of course).

Qualifications

Ideally, you have at least 2+ years of experience in company operations. You should be extremely comfortable with web based technology and with computers in general (ideally - you are a nerd at heart). You can speak effectively to both mid-level and senior-level employees in order to convey you needs and to help solve problems in an efficient manner. You have experience writing concise and organized operational company procedures. Knowledge of organizational team structure, team dynamics, and project management is not a "must have", but will be a definite plus in this role.

About You

Creativity and branding is your domain. You know how to get a message across quickly and effectively, with a minimum of fuss (and as few words as possible). Gorilla marketing excites you, as does out of the box thinking. You are an independant worker who cares about branding, image and messaging. You love crafting clear communication through images, text, and via all forms of marketing. You have an eye for perfection that saw that misspelled word in the previous sentence. You are extremely organized, and like to keep .to do. lists so nothing gets missed. You like to travel and have the ability to go to 5 to 10 industry specific trade shows all across the United States each year for up to a week at a time. You are comfortable negotiating the best prices on purchases, you are able to relate to industry associations, and you can negotiate sponsorships and affinity programs. You should be self-motivated, yet be able to work with a team on the ground as part of a unified group, think quickly, and take appropriate action to make things happen.

Qualifications

Ideally, you have at least 2+ years of marketing experience, or, at the very least, know what marketing is. You should be familiar with how trade shows work, general booth setup and breakdown, and creating the right message for the audience at hand. The right candidate must be able to work independently, understand how to find answers when they need help, and know what their goals are every single day. You will push yourself to be better, because being better is better than being worse. You will be generally familiar with software use and the overall benefits of web based software applications. You will have the ability to compose a simple email in proper English and use punctuation in the right places 96.3% of the time. You are prompt, drama free, a team player, a good joke teller, and you have the ability to get to and from our Brandon office without the need of a tow truck (unless said tow truck is your primary form of transportation).

About You

You like people and you can work with anyone, from the ground floor employee to senior executives for large organizations and associations. As this position reports directly to the CEO, you are collaborative by nature and can listen to instructions yet you can put your own flair on the end solution. You like to solve problems for yourself and others and you are 100% goal oriented. You like to measure results and to make future recommendations and decisions based on that data - and you love said data to say "I told you so". You absolutely LOVE a win-win proposition, recognizing that all parties must benefit for a true long term partnership to flourish.

Qualifications

Ideally, you have at least 3+ years of overall experience dealing with senior level executives in day-to-day business operations, sales operations, marketing, and ideally, with partnerships. You can define to us and to others exactly what partnership is and means, especially as it relates to AscendTMS and the other party. You are fully capable of generating new partnership opportunities for AscendTMS with a well thought out written rationale for doing so. Once identified and agreed upon by both parties, you are fully capable of developing detailed planning documents in order to see the partnership launched, and then you can manage the partnership on a long term and ongoing basis for the mutual financial benefit of all concerned. A working knowledge of the trucking industry, logistics industry, freight brokerage business, transportation industry, or TMS technology market is a must have in this role, with anything greater a major plus
